Silver Valuation Day

As you are no doubt aware, the price of silver has reached record prices recently, with no sign of slowing down.  Considered a safe asset in a time of economic and political turmoil, precious metals are experiencing phenomenal demand, and we are currently seeking further consignments for a selection of forthcoming auctions.

Although much silver will be sold for its melt value alone, quality silver pieces such as the pair of candlesticks above are still highly sought after by collectors. 

If you are considering selling any pieces at auction, then our senior specialist Ed Crichton will be available by appointment to give no-obligation verbal valuations on Wednesday 11th February

Auction Centre manager, Ed, has over 30 years valuation experience, and has expert knowledge spanning centuries of silver craftmanship as well as all manner of antiques.

Fine silver items are offered in our quarterly Fine Art & Antiques sales; quality collectable modern pieces are suitable for our quarterly C20th Art & Design auctions; and our three-weekly Home & Interiors sales include a wide range of lower-grade silver and silver-plated items.

If you are unable to make this date, then you can still bring items into the Auction Centre Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm and Saturday mornings 9am-1pm, submit valuation requests through our website, email the department direct using the details above, or call our offices on 01284 748 625 to arrange a home visit for larger collections.   

CONSIGN BY POST SERVICE 

We can also arrange UK-wide collections for boxed consignments weighing up to 30kg – just contact us with the item and address details, we’ll send a courier, and you can sit back and wait for the auction proceeds to arrive in your bank account.
