Please note that the majority of mass-produced books no longer have any value at auction, and we would advise contacting us prior to bringing books to the Auction Centre for sale. Recent highlights include a rare original copy of 'On Protracted War' signed by Chairman Mao Zedong, which sold for £27,000, and two volumes from the first edition of David Roberts' illustrated magnus opus 'Egypt and Nubia', which made £9200.
We have also sold a collection of letters including an example by Charles Dickens which sold for £4,600 and was featured in the national press, a near-complete set of Wisden Cricketers Almanacs which sold for £7,800 and a collection of Beatrix Potter first editions which, along with other children’s volumes, totalled over £6,000.
