Twentieth Century Art & Design

These popular Quarterly sales have been a permanent feature on our calendar since 2010.  Encompassing all the major influential movements of this period, from Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau & Art Deco through to mid-century, post-war and contemporary design, these auctions offer a broad range of objects from the following categories: Decorative Arts, Paintings & Prints, and Furniture & Lighting.

Within these categories are popular household names such as Clarice Cliff, Moorcroft and Lalique.  In recent years buyers have demonstrated a great appetite for Modern British Art, mid-century British and Scandinavian furniture, sculpture and fashion accessories from the great houses of Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

Recent highlights include works by Filipino artists Fernando Zobel and Benedicto Reyes 'BenCab' Cabrera, which sold for £74,000 and £20,000 respectively, a 'Budding' vase by Axel Salto for Royal Copenhagen, which made £7400, and a Hermès Birkin handbag, which sold for £5600.

Entries close approx 3 weeks prior to auction.

Viewing – The day prior 10am-7pm and the morning of the sale from 9am.
