First registered 19th May 1959. This vehicle has been owned by our vendor since 1980, being garaged and covered for almost its entire ownership and having only completed approx 300 miles during this time. The vehicle comes with a folder of invoices and receipts, original stamped registration book, The vehicle was last MOT'd September 1999, and at this time and in the preceding few years it was extensively restored by Davenport Cars of Sandy, Beds, with receipts detailing the works. These restorations cost in excess of £30,000.

The 1959 Jaguar XK150 drophead coupé replaced the XK120 & the XK140, and was the predecessor to the E-type Jaguar. This rare and beautiful classic sports touring model was built in Coventry in Jaguar’s glowing era, and only 69 right hand versions were produced. Top speed was 132mph, with the 3.4 litre engine taking 7.8 seconds to reach 60mph. A one-piece windscreen replaced the split-screen, and the walnut dashboard was replaced by a leather trimmed version. Just perfect for long tours and exploring country roads, although the fuel consumption was a mere 22 miles per gallon.

Sold with Jaguar dust cover

Two ignition keys
