3 inch scale Caradoc Steam Tractor, built to John Haining designs, comprising of coal fired vertical copper boiler, simple twin cylinder expansion engine actuated by Stephenson's reverse gear, with easy access to back head controls, back head controls comprising of regulator, pole reverse, hand operated steering, whistle, sight glass, water gauge, hand operated brake and other expected fittings, a very well engineered example finished in green and red with Invicta Brass fittings to sides and front, sold with 2 water container trolleys, 1 with four wheels the other fitted with a set of rollers,

 

How to bid

You can bid through our website or email commission bids to fineart@lsk.co.uk (include your full contact details, lot number and bid amount). Telephone bids can be booked for lots with an estimate of £300+, please call our offices to arrange this.

You can also register and bid live while the auction is taking place through our LSKlive portal (3% plus VAT surcharge applies) which becomes available half an hour before the auction is due to start.  This  platform uses thesaleroom.com technology and is completely secure.  Once you have registered your details through our website, you won't need to re-register for future sales - just sign in and start bidding!  Please note that if you register for our auction on thesaleroom.com first, then you will be liable for their 4.95% plus VAT fee instead of our 3% (plus VAT) fee.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.

Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £18 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
