A pair of early 20th century taxidermy toucans (Ramphastos toco) each mounted on a branch in a naturalistic setting within a glazed display case, bearing a label to the case back for J. Needham, Naturalist 88 Southwark Bridge Road. w.66, d.24, h.70cm.

Condition report

Split to back right of backboard running from top almost completely through to the bottom.

Further split to top left corner.

Small split to top of case where hanging bracket has been mounted.

Water marks to both outside edges.

Condition of birds good, colours strong.

Naturalistic setting good.

Some movement.

Taped to top and bottom edges of case.

You can bid through our website or email commission bids to (include your full contact details, lot number and bid amount). Telephone bids can be booked for lots with an estimate of £300+, please call our offices to arrange this.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.  


Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £20 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
