Wilde, Oscar. The Importance of Being Earnest. Leonard Smithers and Co, London, 1899. 4to. Original publisher’s cloth. This is number 46 of 100 only signed copies on large paper. Gilt decoration to boards.

Condition report

Gilt titling to spine somewhat dulled.


Slight crushing to head and tail of spine.


Small area of bubbling to cloth on front board.


Some sun fading to front board and spine. Darkening/browning to front and rear free endpaper and slight spotting to head of half title.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.

Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £18 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
