Saleroom Porter wanted for busy auction centre in Bury St Edmunds
Lacy Scott & Knight Auction Centre is looking for a saleroom porter for its Bury St Edmunds salerooms. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long and rewarding career in the fascinating and ever-changing world of auctions and antiques, with the chance to develop specialities within our various tiers of auctions. The successful applicant must have lots of energy, good attention to detail and customer service skills. A full UK driving licence would be an advantage, but is not essential. This role involves heavy lifting; therefore physical fitness is vital.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Liaising with clients and collecting pieces from their properties.
Filling out paperwork accurately and clearly.
Organising the salerooms before and after auctions.
Photography for auction catalogues.
Packing items for postage.
Hours to comprise Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm and approx. 20 Saturdays per year.
