FULL-TIME CATALOGUER AND VALUER WANTED  

 

Busy and expanding auctioneers in Bury St Edmunds looking for a full-time experienced cataloguer and valuer due to the reorganisation of the sales calendar and soon-to-be completed construction of a third saleroom. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cataloguer to develop their career in a growing team and business.

 

Key duties will include:

Booking in, cataloguing and photographing consignments for auction.

Compiling condition reports and liaising with clients.

Sale-day duties to include live bidding and opportunities to sell

Some heavy lifting of furniture and moving lots between the salerooms and storage areas.

 

The successful candidate must:

Have at least 5 years saleroom experience.

Be organised and have excellent attention to detail.

Be computer literate and willing to learn new software.

Be energetic and willing to help out other departments when necessary.

Full driving licence preferred but not essential.

Rostrum experience advantageous but not essential.

 

This is a full-time weekday role with some Saturdays.

Salary commensurate with experience.
