These auctions have proved enduringly popular and wide-ranging, therefore we are increasing their frequency to 6 times per year. Nick will provide invaluable support in cataloguing, valuing, photographing and compiling condition reports – ever more important as online sales become the main platform in these times.
Nick’s main interest is in Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox and other makes of diecast, although he also collected 0 gauge and plastic kits from being a child onwards, in his own words “buying all the latest models with the pocket money I had!”
His life-long passion did not diminish once he started earning a wage; “When I first went to work at the age of 16, I still enjoyed going to the various toy shops around Suffolk and buying the latest issues – that’s basically when I became a collector.
Over the years I have seen many rare items and still find it exciting to see other people’s large collections and learn from these keen people about their items.
I have worked in retail and factory environments, as well as running my own business for about 20 years, and I look forward to meeting you all to share our common interests.
We are certain that Nick and his passionate knowledge will prove a huge asset to the team, and we hope that you will soon get to meet him in person once we are able to fully open again. In the meantime, he can be contacted for valuations and advice at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01284 748 625.
