James has a wealth of knowledge having over 30 years of experience in the auction world. Since joining us straight from school in 1993, he has unsurprisingly witnessed many changes to the business! James' role includes auctioneering, valuing, sorting and booking in lots. He enjoys all aspects of the auction world but has a particularly keen interest in paintings. The highlight of his career so far was as auctioneer for the Shadwell Estate sale in 2022, which achieved a hammer total of £650,000.
