Terms & Conditions for Wine lots sold 'In Bond'

Where stated, some wine lots are sold 'In Bond', this means that UK duty and VAT have not yet been paid, and the wines have been stored straight from the vineyard in a professional bonded warehouse. 

Buyers must contact us after the auction to inform us whether they want the wine to remain in bond, or if you want the wine removed from bond and shipped, then Excise Duty and VAT at the current rates will be applied to the hammer price.

As of December 2025, VAT stands at 20% and duty on wine is:

Still wine - £3.21 per 75cl bottle, £6.42 per magnum.

Sparkling wine - £2.66 per bottle, £5.32 per magnum.
