Exhibition quality model of a Victorian steam launch, 4ft long and built by Mr R Roebuck of Guildford and fitted with a horizontal boiler, which is gas fired by Butane. Steam is provided to a twin oscillating cylinder engine providing power to the single propeller. A dual-channel radio control system controls the rudder and regulator on the steam plant. Water feed is provided by a hand pump directly from the river/pond or water source that the model is on via a submersible pick-up hose fitted alongside the pump with a lead weight on end to hold it into the water. Cylinder lubrication by a displacement lubricator and there is a condenser fitted for oil collection from the exhaust. The hull is of fibreglass moulding which has been beautifully clad with planking to both the outside and inside of the hull to simulate a wooden hull. This work and the other woodwork on the upper parts, it done to an exceptional standard. A lot of details like the passenger, capstan, wood-burning stove and the additions to the cabin interior all add to the quality of this model. Displayed on the stand are some of the awards this model has received at exhibitions. with a selection of certificates/awards in frames and a stand to test and house the boat
