A pair of 19th century ebony and tortoiseshell boulle work inlaid side cabinets, each having a black marble top, gilt bronze mounts, the panelled doors with cut brass red and coloured tortoiseshell inlays, opening to reveal shelved interior, w.92.5cm, d.37cm, h.134cm
Marble tops both with several minor rim chips.
Both appear completely unrestored.
Small break to lion tail on one side mount, but present.
Some losses to cut brass stringing on sides and areas of front base of both.
Cut brass stringing is heavily tarnished in places.
Gilt bronze mounts with tarnishing spots, mostly to exposed areas.
Boulle work to panel doors approx. 97% + complete.
Missing one lower gilt bronze corner mount to cabinet door.
One gilt bronze lockplate missing.
Both grubby and completely unpolished.
