Following on from our successful 2021 specialist one-off auction of art and antiquities from around the world, we now have a dedicated Antiquities & Ethnographica section within our September Fine Art & Antiques auctions.
This fascinating genre includes pieces from the Classical World, as well as a wealth of art and antiques from Egypt, Africa, Asia and Oceania, ranging from 1000BC to the mid-20th century.
Previous highlights include this circa 600 BCE cast bronze figure of the Egyptian Goddess Neith modelled in standing pose wearing the Red Crown of Lower Egypt which sold for £2,200 and this circa 300-400 BCE Celtic sandstone head, which made £1,050
Entries are invited all year round, with consignments closing in mid-August.
Our June specialist auctions included an eclectic mix for all tastes and pockets; ranging from Royal-related jewellery, rare objet, and stunning art. Our well-attended salerooms were joined by over 1200 online bidders. As usual, there were some surprises across the board, and our second annual Classic Cars & Motorcycles sale also proved a great success.
