This specialist Books sale takes place during our quarterly Fine Arts & Antique sale, held every March, June, September and December. These sales regularly include early and rare antiquarian books, modern first editions, manuscripts, maps and general ephemera.

Recent lots of note include this collection of 82 Wisden Cricketers' Almanacks dating from 1928 to 2009 inclusively, which sold for £7,800, and a collection of Beatrix Potter first editions. We recently sold a good collection of antique shaped and pop-up decorative childrens, which totalled approximately £6,000, and a single-owner collection of antiquarian almanacs including this Peacock's Polite Repository or Pocket Companion for 1786 selection which sold for £700

Our book consultant Guy Pratt is available at the Auction Centre by appointment or can visit you in the comfort of your home for larger collections.

Closing date for entries - 4 weeks prior to sale.

Viewing on the Thursday preceding the sale from 10am-5pm and the Friday preceding the sale from 10am-7pm.
