Entries invited for forthcoming auctions

19 Jun, 2015

We have been selling antiques and works of art in East Anglia since 1869, and from our purpose-built Auction Centre situated in the heart of historic Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk since the 1980s. We are one of the largest salerooms in the East of England, holding a diverse range of specialist and general sales throughout the year. Alongside our regular auctions, we also provide professional services for private clients, executors, solicitors and banks.

We can attribute our excellent reputation at home and further afield to our friendly and efficient staff, professional integrity and attention to detail.  We are proud to be able to offer the traditional friendly service which is expected from a local firm, together with cutting edge technology and innovations to ensure that our clients receive the best of all worlds.  We endeavour to provide all our clients, whether buying or selling, with a first class service through the entire valuation and auction process - from the moment a vendor walks through the door for a free appraisal to the point where the lots are shipped to the buyer using our efficient and reasonably priced in-house postage service.

We hold approximately 30 sales throughout the year, mostly on Saturdays, covering General Antiques & Collectables, Fine Art and Antiques, Toys & Collectors Models, Twentieth-Century Design, Coins with Medals & Militaria, and Fine Wines with Port & Spirits.  We are also regularly called upon to hold single-owner specialist auctions, which have recently included the prestigious Angus McBean Photographic Collection, Vintage Costume, Antique Postcards, Elvis Presley Records and more. Auctions are great fun, interesting and hugely popular at present. Thanks to extensive advertising in the trade and local press as well as online, and our large international mailing list, means we can achieve the best possible prices without charging London auctioneers fees.
