Summer 2021 saw us successfully hold our first scheduled auction of what has now become an annual event on our sale calendar. Last year’s sale saw 21 of the 23 vehicles offered successfully finding buyers, with this 1959 Jaguar XK150 drophead coupe topping the sale at £77,000, and over half of the lots attracting five-figure prices.
We are now inviting entries for this June’s auction. A number of vehicles have already been consigned, to include a 1924 Bayliss-Thomas 4-seat open tourer, a 1934 Austin Seven APD military tourer, a 1926 Morris Cowley Bullnose tourer, a 1959 Ford Zephyr convertible, a Series II Land Rover, a Land Rover Defender, a 1984 Rolls Royce Corniche, and several more in the pipeline.
All vehicles are fully catalogued with extensive information and detailed condition reports produced by our specialist consultant Bob Collison, who has both a wealth of knowledge in and a passion for, vintage cars. In particular Bob is also able to advise on preparing cars for sale and give accurate advice as to value. Marketing for these auctions is extensive, both online and through the motoring trade press. Bidding is available in person, by telephone, or through our website (where no surcharge is levied). Furthermore, we will be utilising video footage of all vehicles where possible, as this has proved extremely popular with potential buyers.
Our standard vendors commission for classic cars and motorcycles is 5% plus VAT.
