AUCTIONEER & VALUER WANTED FOR BUSY AUCTION CENTRE IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

 

Lacy Scott & Knight Auction Centre is looking for an auctioneer and valuer for its Bury St Edmunds salerooms.  This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long and rewarding career in the fascinating and ever-changing world of auctions and antiques.  Many current employees who began in this role have expanded their interests and are now specialist valuers heading up departments in various fields of art and antiques.

 

This full-time role involves all aspects of the auction process to include liaising with clients and collecting pieces from their properties, booking items in, cataloguing and valuing general antiques, organising the salerooms before and after auctions, and selling from the rostrum during auctions (including some Saturdays).

 

The successful applicant must have a full clean driving licence, lots of energy, good attention to detail and customer service skills.  Prior experience is essential.
