Our first triple auction weekend of 2020 took place in less than auspicious circumstances to say the least. With the world in the grip of a terrifying pandemic and the country on the brink of lockdown, there was every chance that the sales would have to be cancelled or postponed. However, the antiques trade and collectors are a determined and flexible bunch – over 1300 people joined us online and our telephone bidding clerks were kept very busy. Despite the rather subdued atmosphere in the saleroom, there were lots of notable prices throughout.
As we all try to get to grips with this dreadful situation, I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best of health and that we hope to be able to see you all again soon in less fraught times. Please do keep an eye on our website for updates regarding future sales.
