An early 20th century taxidermy group of three good sized Roach, (Rutilus rutilus), mounted in a naturalistic setting, within a bow-front glazed display case with gilt painted annotation "Roach 2lbs 9ozs 3drms, 2lbs 4 1/2ozs, 2lbs 2 1/4ozs, Caught by J. Norris in the Thames at Caversham." bearing a label to top left corner "Preserved by J. Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor St St Lukes E.C." w.82, d.21, h.47cm.
Case with tape around top edge.
Three large spots where something has been placed on top.
Fish condition generally OK, with some light cracks around head and eye areas, and some flaking to undersides.
Case slightly tired and with knocks and wear to edges.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
