A 19th century mahogany breakfront library bookcase, the broken architectural pediment with dentil cornice and plain frieze over four astragal glazed doors, enclosing adjustable shelves, the base fitted with three blind frieze drawers, the centre drawer with fitted secretaire over four recessed panelled doors to a plinth, w.203cm, h.271cm, d.58cm

Condition report

Interior depths – outside sections 31cm, centre section 38cm.

Glass all good, not all period glass but matches very well.

Small moulding loss to side.

Approx. 11” fine split to top.

Centre right door with minor warp but closes well.

Split to left hand side of top, but complete.

Moulding loss to one side, but present.

Pediment good.

Colour and timber quality excellent to front, fair – good to sides.

All locks present, but we only have key for glazed doors.

Stands well.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.

Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £20 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
