Lot details

A William IV needlework alphabet, verse and picture sampler, completed by Eliza Bearn aged 10 years on August 1st 1832, 32 x 42cm. Read about the tragic story of the Bearn family on our website.

Condition report

Small losses to upper and lower right corners, and along bottom edge to lower left corner.


Losses to edge at 10 o'clock.


All central areas appear good.


No apparent restoration.


Some light and consistent fading and discolouration all over.


In modern frame.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.

Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £20 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
