A late 19th century continental porcelain table centrepiece of card-players, the six high society figures all in 18th century dress and centred around a card table, the whole raised on a circular plinth, decorated in bright enamels heightened in gilt, underglaze blue crossed sword mark verso (some losses), dia. 32cm

Condition report

Figure in red tunic lacking small finger to left hand.


Seated lady lacking cards in her hand, two firing cracks to base of dress.


Chip to chair.


Seated gentleman in purple tunic lacking cards from hands.


Gentleman in floral tunic with damaged cards in both hands.


Standing lady with loss to three fingers of right hand, index finger to left hand, object missing from left hand, and losses to neck ribbon and hair flowers.


Seated lady in yellow dress with small loss to cards in right hand and flower on hat.


Flower applied to base with losses.


Some handling wear to enamel and gilt but generally good.

Of course, you are also very welcome to come along on the day!  We are located in the heart of beautiful Bury St Edmunds and have our own car park.

Most Mainland UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £18 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter.  European shipping rates and further details can be found here.

For outside of Europe, large or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (details will be sent along with your invoice). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
