This auction includes some antiques which contain ivory.
At Lacy Scott & Knight, we are very concerned about the plight
of the elephant and other endangered species, therefore we would
like to reassure potential buyers that we adhere to very strict
CITES regulations with regards to ivory and other endangered
species. All ivory pieces are guaranteed to be pre-1947 and
thoroughly worked as per the legal guidelines, and we endeavour to
keep abreast of all changes to the laws regarding these items.
We categorically refuse to trade in any ivory items
which appear to be modern or insufficiently worked, and prefer to
err on the side of caution if we are at all uncertain.
